High School: Named team Best Defensive Player her senior year…received the Cougar Cager Award…earned the Blocking Award after racking up nine varsity blocks…played AAU for Rage and North Coast Express…honor roll student.

Personal: Daughter of Steve and Kimberly Ortiz…has a younger sister, Shelby…majoring in Communication.

Why I Chose CSUMB: Because  we have an amazing TAT and communication program. Also because the beach is only five minutes away and there is a lot to do in the area.Great school, beautiful area, couldn't ask for anything more!
