Biography
2013–14 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Jenna Bandy bounced back from a devastating knee injury in 2013 to play in all 25 games as a junior in 2014…finished the season with career highs of 152 points and 22 3–point field goals…opened the season with the first of four double–figure scoring games by tossing in 12 in a win over Dixie State (Nov. 9)…poured in a career–high 20 points against Humboldt State (Jan. 3)—one of only three 20–point games by the Otters all season…led the team in scoring three times as a junior.
2012–13 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Bandy was well on her way to her best collegiate season to date when a knee injury at San Francisco State (Dec. 1) forced her to make 2012–13 a medical redshirt season…scored in double figures in two of her first three appearances, including a career–high 13 points in a win at Sonoma State (Nov. 30).
2011 – 12 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Bandy more than doubled her minutes as a sophomore while setting career highs in virtually every statistical category…recorded her first double–digit game with 10 points at Cal State L.A. (Jan. 28)…grabbed a career–high eight rebounds in a win over Cal State Stanislaus (Jan. 20)…made her first collegiate start in the Otters’ CCAA Tournament championship game victory over Cal State L.A. (Mar. 3)…played at least 20 minutes in seven games.
2010–11 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Bandy saw action in 23 games as a freshman…hit her first collegiate 3–pointer and played a season–high 18 minutes in a win over Hawaii Pacific (Nov. 16)…scored a season–high seven points against Montana State–Billings (Nov. 20)…passed out two assists on three different occasions…pulled down a season–best four rebounds in a win over Cal State San Bernardino (Jan. 29).
High School
Bandy was a varsity starter all four seasons at Thousand Oaks High School…two–time All–County and All–Conference first team selection…selected team MVP and Best Offensive Player… averaged 12.0 points, 7.1 rebounds 2.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game her junior season.
Personal
Bandy is majoring in human communications at CSUMB…career goal is to be a broadcaster and sports reporter…daughter of John and Sheryl Bandy…has two older siblings; Gia and Jett, and a twin brother; Jace…Jett was the starting catcher for the University of Arizona baseball team.
