Brittni Tapia transfers to CSUMB after playing her first two collegiate seasons at NCAA Division III member the University of La Verne…gave the Leopards consistent production in her two seasons by averaging 8.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore after chipping in 6.7 ppg and 2.3 rpg as a freshman…scored in double figures seven times as a sophomore, including a career–high 18 points in a win over Whittier College (Feb. 7, 2013)…career–high four steals came at Cal Lutheran (Jan. 12, 2013).

High School
Tapia was a two time All–Del Rey League performer at St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs…earned second team all–area honors from the Whittier Daily News as a senior in 2011…played travel ball with the Monterey Park Heat.

Tapia is majoring in kinesiology at CSUMB…career goal is to become a physical therapist…parents are John and Carol Tapia.
