2014 – CSUMB: Lei Moleta expanded her role for the third consecutive season in 2014, setting career highs in all statistical categories…her assist percentage of .377 ranks No. 3 on the Otter single season list (min. 200 assists)…her 313 assists total nearly doubled her previous high…career–high 39 assists came in a 4–set win at Cal State Stanislaus (Sept. 19)…that began a string in which she posted 30 or more assists in 6 of 7 matches (Sept. 19–Oct. 4)…posted her first career double–double with 29 assists and 11 digs at UC San Diego (Oct. 10)…led the team with a career–high 21 aces, including a career–high five in the Sept. 19 win at Stanislaus…also notched her career–high of 14 digs in that match.

2013 – CSUMB: Lei Moleta provided an experienced change of pace for the Otter attack as a sophomore in 2013…did her best work early in the season, posting double–figure assists in five of her first eight appearances…just missed her (then) career high while dishing a season–high 26 assists in a sweep of Holy Names (Sept. 13)…reached double figures in digs for the first time with 10 in just two sets in a win over Dominican University (Sept. 7)…chipped in 13 assists and a season–high two aces in a 5–set win at Chico State (Oct. 26).

2012 – CSUMB: Lei gained significant experience in her first collegiate season…made a splash in her first collegiate appearance, passing for a season–high 28 assists in three sets in a win over Notre Dame de Namur (Sept. 7)…also reached double figures with 10 assists each at Cal State L.A. (Sept. 22) and vs. Cal State San Bernardino (Nov. 16)…served two of her four aces and recorded her only block assist in the win over NDNU (Sept. 7)…season–high six digs came in the finale vs. UC San Diego (Nov. 17).

High School: Lei was the starting setter all four seasons at Paraclete High School…four–time All–Alpha League selection…2011 All–CIF Southern Section Division III honoree…earned Antelope Valley Press Athlete of the Week honors as a senior…played travel ball with the highly–regarded Legacy VBC.

Personal: Lei is majoring in kinesiology…career plan includes grad school to become an occupational therapist…given first name is Leana…was involved in a variety of extra curricular and community service activities in high school, including student government, drama and yearbook staff…involved in Rotary Club and church volunteer projects…member of the National English Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation…principal's list member all four years…her aunt, Kim (Moleta) Genet played volleyball at West Region foe Hawaii–Hilo…cousin Cedric Ceballos enjoyed a strong NBA career with the Suns and Lakers…daughter of Harry and Bernadette Moleta…has two brothers: Ikaika and Liam.
