2010–11 – Cal State Monterey Bay
J.J. Campbell will look to increase his playing time for the second consecutive season after more than tripling his court presence from his freshman season…made his first collegiate start at Academy of Art (Dec. 8)…it was his first of five starts on the season…career–high seven points came at Cal State East Bay (Feb. 3)…career–high four assists came at Menlo College (Nov. 30)…finished the season with a solid assist–turnover ratio of 1.5–to–1.
2009–10 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Campbell got his feet wet at Monterey Bay by playing in 13 games as a freshman…average 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game…scored a season–high six points against Menlo College (Dec. 18)…grabbed a season–high four rebounds against Academy of Art (Nov. 15).
High School
Campbell was a CIF Southern Section Division 1AA honorable mention selection at Riverside’s King High School leading King to a CIF Southern Section title…received the Wolves’ coaches and defensive player of the year awards…Scholar-Athlete.
Personal
Campbell is majoring in biology…was a scholar–athlete award winner in high school…is the son of Wardell Campbell…has three older siblings; Sarah, Wardell Jr, Camille.
