Theo Jackson joins the Otters for his first season on the men’s basketball coaching staff in 2012–13. It will also be Jackson’s first season coaching on the collegiate level.
Jackson began his playing career locally at Palma High School. He also played two seasons at nearby Monterey Peninsula College before transferring to Rocky Mountain College, where he helped lead the Battlin’ Bear to the NAIA Division I national title in 2009. In all, Jackson played in 65 games and made 31 starts for Rocky Mountain in 2009 and 2010.
Jackson earned his associate’s degree from MPC in 2008 and his bachelor’s in general studies from Rocky Mountain College in 2010. He is looking to continue his education at the postgraduate level and hopes to add collegiate academic counselor to his coaching resume.
