SACRAMENTO STATE: Appeared in five games in 2013…lone hit was a pinch-hit single at Saint Mary’s (3/12).
 
COSUMNES RIVER COLLEGE: Helped lead Hawks to 2012 CCCAA state and Big 8 Conference titles in 2012…All-Big 8 first team selection…hit .285 in 161 at-bats with 21 runs, 18 RBIs, two doubles and two triples…threw out 16 base stealers... All-Big 8 second team selections in 2011…hit .326 with three home runs.
 
High School: Two-time All-Capital Valley League selection, first team his senior year…hit .352 in 91 at-bats with a team-high 34 runs, 16 RBIs, eight doubles, two triples and two home runs as a senior…guided the Broncos to a pair of league titles (2008, 2010)
 
Personal: Son of Ron and Tina Wheeler…has two older brothers: James and Zach…majoring in social behavioral science.
