2014: Started a team leading 12 games... earned Honorable Mention All–CCAA honors... posted a 5–3 record with a 2.80 ERA... recorded two complete games... earned two saves (2nd on team)... struck out 59 batters in 70 and two-thirds innings... did not give up a homerun... pitched seven innings of one-hit ball,m striking out a season-high 10 batters in a loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills (3/28)... fanned four or more batters in nine games including a run of six consecutive games to start the season.

2013: Daktronics All-West Region first team…ABCA Al-West Region first team…NCWBA All-West Region second team…All-CCAA second team…served as the pitching staff’s seven-inning ace…broke CSUMB’s season record with 12 wins…crushed the program’s strikeout record by fanning 98 batters…tossed a three-hit, one-run nine-inning complete game in the 8-1 victory over Chico State for CSUMB’s first NCAA West Region postseason win…had a career-best 11 strikeouts in his second combined shutout with closer A.J. Quintaro against Western Oregon (3/16)…threw two complete game shutouts; a 3-0 victory against Chico State (3/9) and a 1-0 win against Sonoma State (4/6). 

2012: National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) West Region Freshman of the Year and Honorable Mention…Daktronics All-West Region second team…All-CCAA second team…CCAA All-Academic team selection…was a top of the rotation starter…went 4-4 with a 2.18 ERA over 62.0 innings with 47 strikeouts and 24 walks…gave up 42 hits and had a .187 opponent average…gave up only one home run and one triple all season…NCBWA West Region Pitcher of the Week (March 5-11) after tossing a one hitter in a complete seven inning game, striking out seven batters and walking none…had another one-hit outing against Cal State Dominguez Hills (4/21), relinquishing one run and three walks in the 10-1 complete game victory…had two consecutive outings with seven strikeouts, at UC San Diego (3/10) and at Chico State (3/19).

HIGH SCHOOL: All-Tri-Rivers first team selection…finished his senior season with a 2.99 ERA with 74 strike outs in 72.2 innings…at the plate, posted a .304 batting average with five doubles and a home run. 
 
PERSONAL:  Son of John and Lisa Owen…has no siblings...married Sarah Marrash on Dec. 23, 2012…majoring in Business.
