As a Junior in 2011: Selected to the NCBWA, ABCA and Dakstronics All-West Region second teams…named All-CCAA second team…received Wilson/CCAA Player of the Week for March 14-20…started in 48 of the 49 games for the Otters…led the team with 61 hits, 35 RBI and 20 doubles…set a new single-season record with 20 doubles…ranked 25th in the nation in doubles and 32nd in doubles per game (.41)…part of the double-play combo that ranked the Otters second in the nation with an average of 1.18 per game.  
 
As a Sophomore in 2010 at San Jose City College: All-Golden Gate Conference first team selection…started in all 36 games for the Jags at center field… batted a team-high .374 with 14 doubles and 26 RBI…racked up 52 hits while crossing the plate 35 times…lead team to an Elite Eight appearance.
 
As a Freshman in 2009 at San Jose City College: Named All-Golden Gate Conference second team…started in 31 games for the Jags…batted .298 with 10 doubles…recorded 36 hits, 19 runs and 17 RBI…helped the Jags to a 29-14 overall record and a Super Regional appearance.
 
High School: Four-year letterman…selected team MVP his senior year. 
 
Personal: Son of Kevin and Donna Nelson…has one older sister, Alyssa…majoring in Kinesiology.
