2013 – CSUMB: For the second consecutive season, Kelsey Johnston set the CSUMB record for assists in a season, this time breaking her own mark with 1,278…in the process, she broke the school record for most career assists (2,498) and will look to put that mark out of reach as a senior…established the top two marks for assists in a match within a 3–week span, posting 62 in a win over Cal Baptist (Sept. 6) and 61 in a win at Cal State East Bay (Oct. 1)…also owns the top four marks for assists in a 4–set match, including a record 56 in a win over Humboldt State (Sept. 27)…her 10.39 assists per set ranked No. 3 in the CCAA and No. 41 nationally…recorded 50+ assists 12 times as a junior…posted 18 double–doubles (assists and digs) including four 20–20 matches…had a career–high 26 digs in at UC San Diego (Oct. 12)…hit better than .300 for the second time in her three collegiate seasons, finishing at .304 (42–7–115).

2012 – CSUMB: Kelsey more than blossomed in her first season as the Otter starting setter, blowing up the CSUMB record for assists in a season 1,020 (the previous best was 844)…entered her sophomore season owning the top three marks in CSUMB history for assists in a four–set match, including the record of 51 in a win over Alaska–Anchorage (Sept. 1)…her 42 assists vs. Cal Poly Pomona (Sept. 29) rank one behind Sanderson’s school record of 43…had a career–best nine kills on 11 swings at Cal State Stanislaus (Nov. 9)…reached double figures in digs 14 times, matching her then career high of 19 vs. Humboldt State (Sept. 28) and UC San Diego (Nov. 17)…14 double–doubles (assists–digs) as a sophomore.

2011 – CSUMB: Kelsey got her feet wet in 21 matches while playing behind senior Monique Sena as a freshman…recorded season–highs 20 assists, four aces and 13 digs against Chico State (Nov. 5)…started her first career match against Cal Poly Pomona (Sept. 24)…dished out 14 assists while serving up three aces against Cal State Stanislaus  (Nov. 4).

High School: Kelsey was a two–time Trans Valley League Most Valuable Player at Ripon High School and a two–time MaxPreps California All–State first team selection…Modesto Bee All–District MVP…Stockton Record All–Area first team…collected team–highs 140 aces and 1,157 assists her senior year…led her team to its first Sac–Joaquin Section Division IV volleyball title in 27 years.

Personal: Kelsey is majoring in kinesiology at CSUMB…daughter of Patrick and Mitzi Johnston…has three older siblings: Holly, Marcy and Patrick.
