As a Junior in 2012: National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-West Region honorable mention…All-CCAA second team…first of five Otters to earn CCAA Player/Pitcher of the Week honors (Feb. 6-12)…batted .305 with 58 hits, 38 RBIs and 35 runs…was second on the team with18 multi-hit games and tied with classmate David Garcia with 11 multi-RBI games…had a team-best .479 slugging percentage and 15 doubles…tied with Garcia in homeruns (4)…nine of his 15 doubles came in February…racked up four hits against Central Washington (2/10)…posted a triple and a home run at UC San Diego (3/10). 

As a Sophomore in 2011 at Sierra College: Led team to the Northern California Super Regionals after upsetting Chabot in Regionals…appeared in all but one game…batted .322 with 48 hits…had eight doubles, a triple and two home runs…registered 18 runs while driving in 20.
 
As a Freshman in 2010 at Sierra College: Appeared in only 19 games for the Wolverines...batted .226 with 12 hits including three doubles…finished with 10 runs and 3 RBIs.
 
High School: Made the first round of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I tournament…batted .315 with 30 hits…racked up four doubles, seven triples and played summer ball for Neptune Pearl.
 
Personal: Son of George Merjano and Robin Valle…has five siblings; Justin, Alexander, Samantha, Nicolas and Michela…majoring in Kinesiology.
