Biography

As a Sophomore in 2011: Started in 36 games with the majority in the outfield…made four appearances on the mound for the Otters…batted .198 with 25 hits including four doubles…finished with two stolen bases…2-for-4 with three runs and a RBI against Patten (Feb. 19).

As a Freshman in 2010 at Chico State: Started in eight of the 26 games he appeared in…hit .256 with 10 hits on 39 at bats…registered six runs…knocked in five runs.

High School:  Two-time All-East Bay Athletic League first team selection…hit .328 his senior season… competed in baseball, basketball and cross-country.

Personal: Son of Luis and Roberta Hernandez…has one older sister, Mara.
