As a Junior in 2007-08 at Chico State: Started in all 27 games...selected All-CCAA second team...led the conference in 3-pointers made (83)...finished third in the nation in free throw percentage, shooting 94.3 percent (83-for-88) ...averaged a team-high 17.1 points and 2.3 rebounds.

At Monterey Peninsula Community College: Two time All-Conference selection...Scored 25 points in the team’s win over Los Medanos to advance to the Sweet 16 of last season’s state playoffs.

High School: Helped lead team to consecutive league titles.

Coach Bishop on Phillips: "Darroll Phillips comes to our program after being away from the game for two years.  We are very excited to have Darroll in our program even if only one year.  He has experience from playing in this league previously at Chico State where he was a All-CCAA second team player.  That year he also led the league in 3pt field goal percentage.  We expect big things from Darroll this season."
