As a Red-Shirt Junior in 2009-10: Appeared in 17 games...scored 16 points and hit three 3-pointers at Cal State East Bay (1/16)...dished out four assists on top of seven points and five rebounds against Cal State Stanislaus (12/3)...grabbed five rebounds at UC San Diego (1/14).

As a Red-Shirt Sophomore in 2008-09 at Missouri Western State: Played in 27 games…averaged 8.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.

As a Sophomore in 2007-08: Medical red-shirt this season.

As a Freshman in 2006-07 at UC San Diego: Played in 16 games, making one start…averaged 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

High School: Earned four varsity letters in basketball… named All-CIF first-team as a junior and senior...two-time All-State…Athletic Department’s Female Athlete of the Year…served as team captain three years…named the Valley League's MVP as a junior and senior...helped lead her team to a league championship as a sophomore and junior…holds school record in points (2,604)...also lettered in track and cross country.

Personal: Daughter of John and Kathy Houchin… her sister Holland played basketball at Colorado Christian University and her brother Jake played football at Mid-America Nazarene University….majoring in Social and Behavioral Science.

Why I Chose CSUMB: Because I really like the women's basketball coaching staff and the program they are building. I also chose CSUMB because of the location, as well for the academic possibilities that will help prepare me for a career. I also chose CSUMB because of the basketball program and the athletic staff that helps make Otter sports successful. Everyone is very personable and is always willing to give a helping hand.
