2012–13 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Derrick Anderson enjoyed his best statistical season in his second as a starter in 2011–12…his 10.6 point per game average nearly doubled his previous best…also set career highs in rebounding (5.0 rpg), assists (47), steals (34) and field–throw percentage (74.8)…scored in double figures in 15 of 26 games, including a career–high 25–point night against Westminster College (Nov. 17)…first career double–double (15 points and a career–high 14 rebounds came in a win over Sonoma State (Dec. 3)…also posted a double–double (12 points, 10 rebounds) against UC San Diego (Feb. 17)…passed for a career–high seven assists at Cal State Stanislaus (Feb. 24) and collected a career–high five steals at San Francisco State (Jan. 5).

2010–11 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Anderson was a key cog in the Otter machine as a sophomore…was one of only two players to start all 26 games…averaged 5.7 points and will be the team’s top returning rebounder after pulling down 4.2 rebounds per game…scored a career–high 15 points versus Cal State Dominguez Hills (Jan. 8), one of four double figure scoring performances on the season…barely missed his first career double–double twice, finishing with 10 points and a season–high nine rebounds versus Sonoma State (Feb. 18) before a season–ending nine–point, nine–rebound against Cal State Stanislaus (Feb. 25)…passed for a season–high five assists in a win at Cal State East Bay (Feb. 3).

2009–10 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Anderson played in 17 games and started 12 as a freshman…reached double figures twice, including a season–high 11 points against UC San Diego (Feb. 20)…grabbed a season–high six rebounds in the first meeting with UCSD (Feb. 14).

2008–09 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Anderson redshirted as a true freshman.

High School
Anderson was team captain as a senior at Pittsburg (Calif.) High School, leading the Pirates to a 20-8 overall record and the second round of the CIF North Coast Section Division I Tournament appearance…second on team in scoring as a senior…two–year starter.

Personal
Anderson is majoring in business administration…is the son of Carrie Anderson…has an older brother, Darryl, who played at CSUMB from 2004–06.
