2026 ALL-CCAA SOFTBALL TEAMS  |  CCAA SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

SEASIDE, Calif. — Led by junior center fielder Abreanna Alba (Watsonville HS/Cabrillo College), the Cal State Monterey Bay softball team placed a program-record seven players on the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association Softball Teams, released by the conference Monday.

In addition to Alba, senior utility player Kieley Ganaden (North Salinas HS), junior left fielder Leah Madden (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay HS) and sophomore third baseman Nevaeh Martinez (Soquel HS) earned spots on the All-CCAA second team. Senior right fielder Ellie Escalante (Soquel HS)  and pitchers Kadence Nulick (Madera/Buchanan HS) and Jordan Knutson (Medford, Ore./South Medford HS) claimed honorable mention All-CCAA honors.

The seven honorees eclipse the previous CSUMB softball high of five all-conference winners set during the CCAA Championship seasons of 2012, '14 and '15.

Alba, who was an honorable mention selection as a sophomore in 2025, vaulted up to the first team this season by hitting .371 with 12 home runs a CCAA-leading 51 runs and 53 RBI. Each of those numbers are career highs.

Ganaden enjoyed a breakout season as a senior, leading the team with a .403 average heading into the postseason. Despite missing two weeks, she still ranks No. 24 nationally with six triples.

Madden, a speedy slapper who missed the 2025 due to injury, has come back strong in her junior season, hitting .336 with a team-leading 15 steals in 16 attempts. Martinez was leading the league with 11 home runs when an ankle injury ended her season in mid-April.

Nulick, a sophomore, and Knutson, a freshman, are a pair of promising young pitchers who will enter the postseason with 12 wins apiece and identical 3.82 ERAs. Escalante, who has hit her first four collegiate home runs in 2026, is hitting .316 and is third on the team with 16 extra-base hits.

CSUMB and its septet of All-CCAA honorees will head to Hayward to open play at the CCAA Softball Championship Tournament at Cal State East Bay's Pioneer Field Wednesday (May 6). No. 5 seed CSUMB (32–21) will open play against No. 4 seed Cal State Dominguez Hills (35–20) at 2 p.m. The winner of that game will take on No. 1 seed Cal State San Marcos (47–6) Thursday at noon.

Tickets for the CCAA Championship are available online at GoCCAA.org/tickets. Fans who can't make it to Hayward for the games can catch all of the action on the FloSports Network (OtterAthletics.com/watch).
