SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team hung tight but eventually dropped its Thursday CCAA contest against Cal State LA, 78-64, at the Kelp Bed.
Three Otters scored in double-figures as they shot 45-percent (27-of-60) from the floor, including a 64-percent second quarter and a 54-percent final frame.
Sha'nece Garrett paced CSUMB with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting, while
Jayden McNeal added 11 and
Cheyanne Whitfield poured in 10. Whitfield added a team-high five rebounds and
A'ajah Slocum dished out a career-high eight assists.
