SEASIDE, Calif. – Senior midfielder Eric Vazquez-Acosta buried the equalizer with just seconds remaining on the clock to hand the Cal State Monterey men's soccer team a hard-fought 1-1 draw against No. 11 Cal Poly Pomona Friday night at Cardinale Stadium.  
 
Knocking on the door all match long junior Julian Lomeli found the crashing Vazquez-Acosta far post for his third goal of the season with 39 second left in the match.
 
CSUMB outshot CPP, 13-11, as senior Jose Rios Lara paced the Otters with three shots, putting two on frame.
 
Senior Jerry Godfryd allowed the one goal and was credited with five saves. The Broncos scored in the eighth minute of the contest.
 
The Otters will face their second ranked opponent in as many matches as they welcome No. 25 Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday, Oct. 5. Kickoff will follow the women and is scheduled for 2 p.m.
