SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team succumbed to a double-overtime loss in the final seconds to San Francisco State on Thursday night at the Kelp Bed.
Ana Daniel's layup with three seconds left proved to be the game-winner. The senior guard led all scorers with 21 points in 47 minutes of action.
CSUMB senior
Ella Doherty scored with 16 seconds left, but the Otters could not hold on. The Scotland native paced the squad with 14 points.
Junior forward
Cheyanne Whitfield recorded her second double-double of the season, both against the Gators. She scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.
