SEASIDE, Calif. –
Jennifer Limon scored her first career goal in an Otter uniform on her senior day to help propel CSUMB to a 1-0 victory Sunday afternoon at Cardinale Stadium. After the shutout win, the Otters improve to 2-1-2 on the season.
Limon headed home a
Tiger Rendon cross in the 12
th minute as the goal proved to be the difference.
The Otter defense, spearheaded by senior
Jessica Zavala, earned the clean sheet. Zavala was credited with one save as CSUMB outshot UC Merced, 7-4.
STINGY DEFENSE… The Otters capped off their non-conference home schedule by blanking the Bobcats. The shutout is the third of the season and marks the seventh straight match CSUMB has allowed one goal or less. The Otters surrendered one goal or less on 13 occasions in 2023.

THEY'VE GOT NEXT… The Otters will close out non-conference play at San Francisco State. The two teams will meet on Saturday, Sept. 28, with kickoff slated for 3 p.m. at Cox Stadium.
