SEASIDE, Calif. – In a physical back-and-forth match, No. 21-ranked Hawai'i-Hilo scored two late goals to come-from-behind and claim the victory, 3-2, Thursday evening at Cardinale Stadium.
 
Koki Hamada evened the score at 2-2 in the 83rd minute, and just over 30 seconds later, Brian Trujillo scored the game-winner to move the Vulcans to 4-1 on the season.
 
Alexis Sanchez gave the Otters a 2-1 lead in brilliant fashion in the 74
th minute, volleying a deflected ball from 20 yards out for his second goal of the season.
 
Mason Ward started things off early for CSUMB (2-1-1) as he one-timed a well-setup combination from 
Eric Vazquez-Acosta and 
Ronaldo Guardarrama 14 minutes into the contest.
 
In his first start in goal on the season for the Otters, 
Sean Mattivi allowed the three goals and was credited with three saves. CSUMB was outshot, 19-17.
 
The Otters will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 22, when they host UC Merced on the backend of a doubleheader at 5 p.m. The women kickoff against the Bobcats at 2 p.m.
