SEASIDE, Calif. – Western Oregon scored two minutes into the contest but the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team answered with a second half penalty kick to record the 1-1 draw on Saturday evening at Cardinale Stadium.
Olivia Fothergill got the Wolves on top early, taking advantage of an Otter turnover to score two minutes into the match. The shot was only one of two for Western Oregon in the half.
CSUMB evened the match in the 50
th minute when
Tiger Rendon converted a penalty kick. The Otters outshot the Wolves, 12-6 on the evening.

Olivia Saenz allowed the one goal and made one save.
STINGY DEFENSE… The Otters have only allowed two goals on the season and have only surrendered a single goal in two matches. That marks six games in a row allowing a single goal or less and the third time in that span sporting a clean sheet dating back to the final two games last season.
