SALT LAKE CITY – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team closed out its road trip at Dumke Field with a 2-0 victory over Colorado Mesa on Saturday. After the two-match trip the Otters improve to 2-0-1 on the season.
The Otters got on the board early as
Daniel Perez scored in the seventh minute off an
Avery Edgar assist.
Perez then was on the giving end as he found
Erik Cabrera in the 60
th minute to secure the victory for the Otters.
CSUMB outshot CMU, 18-10, including an 11-1 margin in the first half.
Jerry Godfryd earned the clean sheet, recording six saves.
