SANTA BARBARA – For the second consecutive season the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team (1-1-1) played Westmont College to a non-conference scoreless draw in a Thursday matinee at Thorrington Field.
The two squads combined to record 23 shots as the Otters fired off 11 and put three on frame. CSUMB and Westmont also tallied three corners apiece.

Olivia Saenz posted the shutout and was credited with three saves.
Jaedyn Sanders recorded a team-high three shots and put two on frame.
STINGY DEFENSE… The Otters have posted back-to-back shutouts and only allowed one goal on the young season. That marks five games in a row allowing a single goal and less and the third time in that span sporting a clean sheet dating back to the final two games last season.

THEY'VE GOT NEXT… The Otters will return home to host Western Oregon on Saturday, Sept. 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. from Cardinale Stadium.
