SAN BERNARDINO – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team opened conference play on the road with a 1-1 draw against Cal State San Bernardino, Friday at Premier Field. The Otters move to 3-1-3 on the season.
After the Coyotes scored in the 14
th minute, the Otters rallied in the 57
th as
Hugo Vargas-Rios buried his second goal off a
Zion Okyere-Yeboah and
Francisco Ponce setup to even the score.
Vargas-Rios fired off four of the 10 shots on the match for the Otters as
Sean Mattivi played the full 90 minutes in goal and recorded three saves.
CSUMB will take on No. 7 Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday, Oct. 6, with kickoff slated for 2 p.m.
