Defensive Prowess Continues in 1-0 Victory Over Sonoma State

Otters post eighth shutout of the season

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Nylah Mirshafiei posted another shutout and Audrey Reyna scored in the second half to hand the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Sonoma State on Friday.
 
The shutout was the fourth on the season for Mirshafiei and the eighth overall for the Otters as they improve to 5-1-7 overall and 3-0-5 in CCAA play.
 
Reyna scored in the 72nd minute, marking her second tally of the season. Reyna and Gianna Foss paced the Otters with two shots apiece.
 
CSUMB will close out its road trip against Cal Poly Humboldt on Sunday, Oct. 27.
