GLENDORA, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team dropped its season opening game against Azusa Pacific, 16-6, Thursday afternoon at the Citrus Aquatic Center.
The Otters fell behind early, giving up five goals in each of the first two periods. CSUMB was out-shot, 34-23, but drew 13 exclusions to only four by Azusa.

OTTERS PICKED TO FINISH SECOND IN WWPA… The Otters were selected to finish second in the WWPA as announced in the Preseason Coaches Poll. CSUMB tallied 40 votes, including a first-place nod.
THEY'VE GOT NEXT: CSUMB will begin the Cal State Fullerton Tournament tomorrow with two games. The Otters will open with the host Titans at 11 a.m. and then face San Diego State at 3 p.m. CSUMB will play a total of four games in the tournament.
