SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team shoots for its sixth consecutive win Thursday (Feb. 2) when equally–hot Cal State San Marcos visits for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
San Marcos caught the Otters the first time the teams met, 72–60, at the end of a 5–game CSUMB skid. With both teams in top form this time around, Thursday promises to be one of the game's of the year in The Kelp Bed.
CSUMB (8–10, 6–7 CCAA) moved into a tie for sixth place in the CCAA by sweeping the arduous Sonoma/Humboldt trip last weekend. San Marcos (12–7, 11–3) has won six in a row and is coming of a 98–85 upset of (then) No. 12 Cal State San Bernardino Saturday night.
