Women’s Basketball Notebook: Otters Return Home To Host Chico

CSUMB hosts Wildcats Thursday to open 2-game homestand

SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball returns to The Kelp Bed for a pair of games, beginning with a visit from Chico State Thursday (Jan. 19). Tip-off will be at 5:30 p.m. as the opener of doubleheader action with the Otter men.

CSUMB (4–11 overall) will be looking to get healthy — or, at least, healthier — as the it reaches the midway point of the conference season. Otter starters have missed at least nine games due to injury and the active roster has missed a total of 46 games due to injury.

As it usually is, Chico State (10–6 overall) is in the hunt for a CCAA Tournament berth. After losing two of its first three games to open the season, the Wildcats have gone 9–4, winning four of their last six.
