Otter Women's Basketball Notebook: Home Opener

Otters host Cal State San Marcos for first home game

SEASIDE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball plays its first home game since February, 2020 when Cal State San Marcos visits The Kelp Bed Thursday (Dec. 9). The game will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. as the opener of doubleheader action.

In their last outing, the Otters posted their biggest first and fourth quarter outputs of the season, only to see a mid-game lull allow host Humboldt State to escape with a 65–59 victory last Saturday in Arcata. Emily Perez led the Otters with 13 points. Fellow freshman guard Frances Potts added 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

CSUMB will close the 2021 portion of their schedule by hosting Cal State L.A. Saturday (Dec. 11) for a 1 p.m. tip.
