Otters return home looking to continue hot CCAA start

SEASIDE, Calif. — After its successful trip up U.S. 101, the Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team returns to home action Thursday (Dec. 9) when it hosts nationally-ranked Cal State San Marcos. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m as part of doubleheader action.

The Otters are coming off a 77–74 overtime at Humboldt State in which they never trailed in regulation. The Lumberjacks rallied to tie in the final seconds, but CSUMB held on in extra time to improve to 2–0 in CCAA play. Levi Frankland led the offense with 21 points. Andrew Ferguson (15 pts/10 reb) and Jailen Nelson (14 pts/10 reb) each recorded double-doubles.
