Otter Men's Basketball Notebook vs. Cal State L.A.

MB looking to bounce back after loss to nationally–ranked San Marcos

SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team (3–3, 2–1 CCAA) goes for a weekend split when it hosts Cal State L.A. (2–7, 0–4 CCAA) Saturday afternoon in The Kelp Bed.

The Otters are coming off a tough 76–68 loss to No. 18 Cal State San Marcos Thursday night. CSUMB led at the break, 39–38, but went cold in the second half (1–for–12 from 3–point range), allowing San Marcos to escape with the win. Senior guard Jordan May led a balanced offense with 12 points. Sophomore forward Kyle Johnson pulled down nine rebounds for the second consecutive game to claim game–high honors.
