SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay Baseball team scored in all but three innings on Friday afternoon against Point Loma University at Carroll B. Land Stadium. The offense backed a stellar first outing by
Colton Fletcher with a 13-6 victory over the Sealions supported by a 3-RBI day for
Max Sanderson.
CSUMB started the afternoon off right by plating two runs in the top of the first inning. The Otters followed that effort with four runs in fourth, three in the fifth, one in the sixth and seventh and two in the eighth.
TJ Dove, Myles Hager, and
Jacob Tonascia each chipped in two RBI in the win.
Fletcher went five strong innings on the mound allowing three earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts en route to his first win of the season.

THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... Sanderson smacked a 2-RBI double in the eighth inning to put the game out of reach
THIRD TIMES A CHARM... This marks the third time in Coach White's tenure that the Otters have started the season 2-0. The last time being in 2016 when CSUMB rattled off nine wins in a row to start the season. Monterey went on to a 34-21 record and an appearance in the DII West Region Tournament.
