HAYWARD, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team waisted no time scoring goals on Wednesday night netting two goals in the first seven and half minutes of play en route to a 2-1 victory at Pioneer Field.
Makenna Pendelton needed five and half minutes to find the back of the net. After a well placed ball by
Darren Sinclair set up Pendelton, the freshman was able to nail his shot in the right side of the goal to go up 1-0. One minute and 50 seconds later,
Adrian Rebollar made it a 2-0 game after he was able to dribble past the defense and beat the goalie one-on-one for his third goal of the season. The Pioneers got a goal back in the 15th minute from Jared Johnson, but the Otters kept CSUEB off the scoreboard for the remaining 60 minutes.

Jesus Ochoa recorded a career-high 10 saves in the win.

THE MATCH WAS OVER WHEN... The Pioneers took its final shot of the game at 84:35 mark off the foot of Evan Sanchez. Like he did all night, Ochoa was there for the save.
GOT THE W... The Otters got their long-awaited first conference win of the season and also broke a scoreless game streak that spanned six games

Jesus Ochoa recorded a career-high in that category. He now has 32 saves for the season.
HOT SHOTS... The Otters' offense was firing at goal with 17 shots to the Pioneers nine. CSUMB also doubled the shot on goal output of CSUEB by a tally of 12-6.
