SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team ended the 2016-17 with a tough fought game against Chico State on Saturday in the Kelp Bed.
The Otters fell behind early and found themselves in a 17-point hole at halftime. However, seniors
McKenna Hill (Saint Bonaventure HS) and
Victoria Dorn (Seaside HS) took matters into their own hands by leading a charge to get back into fighting contention. The Otters got within two points with just over a minute to go in the game. However, the Otters could not get over the hump and capture the lead, losing 55-51.
Hill led all scorers by tying her career-high of 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Dorn added nine points in her final game in CSUMB blue and gold.

Aubri Smith's layup with four seconds remaining.
DORN'S CAREER NIGHT... With her first three pointer,
Victoria Dorn became CSUMB's all-time leader in three-pointers made. She ended the night with three made 3s, giving her 181 three pointers for her career.
A FITTING ENDING...Going back to last night's win against Stanislaus State,
Victoria Dorn had a team leading 22 points, which is her jersey number. In tonight's game,
McKenna Hill, who wears number 25, scored a team-leading 25 points in her final game.
