CHICO, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team ran into the buzz saw that is Chico State on Sunday afternoon in its final road game of the season. CSUMB gave up a first half score to be down 1-0 at the half. However, two second half goals by the hosts put the game away, leading to a 3-0 loss for CSUMB.
It took Chico State until the 44:19 mark of the first half before they found the back of the net off the foot of Carter Johnson. Johnson scored his second goal of the day at the 55:53 mark to put the Wildcats up 2-0. Thirty minutes later it was Donta'e Garcia who scored his third goal of the season to effectively put it away, 3-0.
CSUMB managed just one shot in the game which came from
Emmanuel Montion in the first half.
Jesus Ochoa recorded one save.
Trevor Peterson saw 14 minutes between the pipes and recorded one save, as well.

THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... Montion missed his shot in the first half. The Otters did not record another shot for the remainder of the game.
THEY'VE GOT NEXT... Monterey Bay will head back to the Otter Sports Complex on Thursday, October 26 to face Cal State San Marcos. Kick off is set for 3:00 p.m.
