FRESNO, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team battled under the lights against Fresno Pacific on the road on Saturday night and in a back-and-forth game that featured five goals, CSUMB found themselves on the wrong end of the sudden-death overtime.
Adam Voloder (Sydney, Australia) scored his third goal in two games to start the scoring for the Otters as CSUMB led 1-0 going into intermission. After FPU tied it to start the second half,
Cameron DeJong (Ventura HS) found the back of the net to give the Otters a 2-1 edge.
However, the Sunbirds found the equalizer in the 67th minute eventually sending the game into overtime in a 2-2 tie. FPU wasted no time in ending it, as the Sunbirds' Gabriel Batista tickled the twine 1:13 in, sending CSUMB home with a 3-2 loss.
