SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team extended yet another match into overtime on Friday evening against Cal State San Bernardino.
CSUMB trailed in shots 6-1 after the first half, but quickly came back with a barrage of shots in the second half to lead 11-10 at the end of regulation. Monterey Bay hit just one shot during the extra time while CSUSB recorded three.
The Otters are now 2–2–2, 0–1–2 CCAA
THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... The scoreboard read 0:00 at the end of the second overtime period, signifying a tie.
THEY LIKE TO PLAY... This is the fourth overtime game for the Otters in their first six matches. Not to mention this was the third overtime game in a row for CSUMB
THE LAST WORD...After starting the game flat, we came out in the second half and woke up and outshot SB 11-7. We found a way to grind out a result against a regionally ranked CSUSB team on the road that had won four matches coming into the contest. It's all about grabbing points on the road.
