SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team welcomed UC San Diego to the Otter Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon as the Otters continued their search for their first conference win.
However, it would not come today as CSUMB was shut out by the Tritons by a score of 2-0. UCSD scored once in each half and took a total of 24 shots to the Otters 12.
CSUMB had a chance in the final minutes on a
Chris Koski (Monta Vista HS) corner kick, but the would be goal was negated due to a CSUMB foul in the box.
THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... The Tritons scored their second goal in the 69th minute to put CSUMB in a 2-0 hole. The Otters took two shots in the final six minutes of the game but came up empty

Tab Heinz (Arcata HS) made his second collegiate start and recorded a career-high eight saves.
THEY'VE GOT NEXT... Cal State Monterey Bay will hit the road for the final time this season beginning with Sonoma State on Friday, Oct. 14 at 12:30 p.m.
