SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey men's soccer team got hot to a hot start on Thursday afternoon against Stanislaus State at the Otter Sports Center by scoring their first goal 28:50 into the game.
Alejandro Garcia (Hueneme High School) got an assist from
Michael Maul (San Ramon Valley HS) in the 29th minute to net his third goal of the season and give CSUMB a 1-0 lead early on.
However, the second half was a different story as the Warriors were able to score two unanswered goals within two minutes and four second of each other to take a late 2-1 lead; a lead that would hold on to be the final.
THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... The Otter tired their best to try and tie this game in the final minutes as Maul and Garcia each had shots while
Adam Voloder (Sydney, Australia) sent in a corner kick for no result.

RETURNING THE FAVOR... CSUMB found its first CCAA win two weeks ago while visiting Humboldt State. Today the Otters were on the other end, allowing Stanislaus its first conference win of 2016
THEY'VE GOT NEXT... Cal State Monterey Bay will wrap up the 2016 season on Saturday against Cal State East Bay. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
