OTTERS at DOMINGUEZ HILLS HIGHLIGHTSCARSON, Calif. — Cal State Dominguez Hills raced to a 17–4 lead inside the first four minutes and the Otters never got within single digits again as the Toros won going away, 74–50 Thursday night at The Torodome in Carson.
Sophomore forward
Courtney Keaton (Los Angeles/Bishop Montgomery HS) came off the bench to score a career–high 12 points, her first time reaching double figures as an Otter. She also pulled down a career–high eight rebounds, a total matched by fellow sophomore
Alexa Sperling.
Although they gave up an uncharacteristic 74 points, the Otter lost this game on the offensive end, where they shot a season–low 29 percent from the field. They shot just 25 percent (8-for-32) in the first half to allow Dominguez Hills to take a 39–21 lead into the lockerroom.
The Otters will attempt to right the ship Saturday when they make their first–ever trip to San Marcos to take on CCAA newcomer Cal State San Marcos at 5:30 p.m.
GO OTTERS!
