Back of the Net Eludes Otters In Loss to Stan State

Porteous contributes three of four total shots by Otters

TURLOCK, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay Women's Soccer team could not find the goal on Sunday afternoon against Stanislaus State managing four total shots. The Warriors scored the lone goal of the game in the 75th minute off the foot of Gabby Squarcia to send the Otters home with a 1-0 loss.


Of the four shots by the Otter offense, three of came from Regan Porteous (Lodi, Calif./St. Mary's HS), the fourth came from Amanda Guerrero (San Diego, Calif./Granite Hills HS). Victoria Whyte (Austin, Texas/ Lake Travis HS) recorded two saves in the loss.

The Otters drop to 2-5, 0-2 CCAA. Monterey Bay will play its final nonconference game on Wednesday against Fresno Pacific at the Otter Sports Complex. Kick off is set for 4 p.m.
