TURLOCK, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay Men's Soccer team took its 4–1 record on the road to Stanislaus State to battle the undefeated Warriors on Sunday afternoon.
"We lost to a better team," says head coach
Rob Cummings. "We did some things well, but weren't consistent enough to get the job done. We will try to learn from this game and grow for our next game."
After a the Otters were able to keep Stan State off the scoreboard in the first half, the Warriors came back in the second to score four times. The Otter offense remained quiet in the second half attempting just two shots on goal on eight total shots. This marks the first time this season where the Otters have been shutout.
The Otters fall to 4–2, 1–1 CCAA and will play at home against San Francisco State on Sunday, September 27. Kick off is set for 11:30 a.m.
