WATCH FPU vs. CSUMB HIGHLIGHTSSEASIDE, Calif. — A soft early goal and some strong set piece work in the second half by Fresno Pacific led the visiting Sunbirds to a 4-2 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay In CSUMB's home opener at the Otter Sports Complex Saturday evening. The win snapped MB's season opening win streak (3-1-0 overall) while FPU (1-1-1) won for the first time in three decisions.
FPU took a 3-0 lead in the first 55 minutes before
Brandon Cando's (Los Angeles/El Camino College) first collegiate goal opened the Otter ledger.
Alejandro Garcia (Oxnard College) doubled the scoreline in the 90th minute.
CSUMB hits the road for its next two games, beginning Friday at Cal State East Bay. The Otters return home to host San Francisco State on Sept. 27.
