SEASIDE, Calif. — Senior Cori Reinhardt (Riverside Poly) made history yet again Friday, becoming the first player in the storied history of the CCAA to be name softball pitcher and player of the year in the same season.

Reinhardt was one of five Otters named to the 2015 All-CCAA first team. She is joined by sophomore first baseman Madison Casto (Sunnyvale/Homestead HS), senior third baseman Alissa Greenhaw (Galt/Cosumnes River College), sophomore center fielder Anneliese Lopez (Ventura/Buena HS) and junior designated player Bianca Noriega (Ventura/Camarillo HS).

Casto and Noriega each earned their second appearance on the first team. Greenhaw, who was an honorable mention pick in 2014, and Lopez are making their first appearances on the list.

In addition to that quintet, Head Coach Andrea Kenney was named the circuit's Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season and the third time in her 10 seasons as an Otter. She joins Cal State Bakersfield's Kathy Welter (5), UC Davis' Kathy DeYoung (4) and Cal State Northridge's Gary Torgeson (4) as the only coaches to win the award at least three times.

Reinhardt earned her second consecutive player of the year award in the utility/pitcher category, becoming just the fourth player in CCAA history to earn consecutive player of the year nods and the first since shortstop Alicia Castro of Cal State Bakersfield did it in 2000 and 2001. The others were Lisa Erickson (1989-90) and Barb Jordan (1985-86), both of Cal State Northridge.

Reinhardt has started all 54 games in the lineup, playing second base, shortstop and left field when not pitching. She ranks among the CCAA leaders in batting average (.421), runs (47), hits (64) and on base percentage (.524) while making just two errors in 163 chances at her various fielding positions.

She earned her first pitcher of the award after leading the CCAA with a 27-2 record and a 1.60 ERA. Both of those are CSUMB season records as well.

Casto ended the regular season leading CSUMB in batting average (.468), doubles (20) and hits (72) while placing second in homers (8) and RBIs (48). Noriega, meanwhile, is hitting .435 and leads the Otters in both homers (9) and RBIs (51).

Greenhaw, arguably the CCAA's best defensive third baseman, has also contributed with her bat in a big way, hitting .382 with four HRs, 44 runs and 36 RBIs. Lopez, meanwhile, has played a solid center while chipping in 12 doubles, three homers, 35 runs and 35 RBIs.

CCAA Commissioner Mike Mathews presented the awards at the CCAA Tournament Championship Banquet Friday morning. CSUMB (44-10) will open play at the championship as the No. 1 seed against No. 4 seed Chico State (28-18) Friday at 3 p.m. at Arnaiz Stadium in Stockton.
