SEASIDE, Calif. -- The struggles continued Sunday for the Cal State Monterey Bay Women's Soccer team as they could not find the back of the net in the 1-0 loss to #14 Sonoma State at the Otter Sports Complex.
The game was a scoreless battle until SSU's Kristal Luna connected with a header off a free kick in the 87th minute, putting the Otters in a 1-0 hole late.
It was a hole they would not climb out of as CSUMB took just four shots including two from
Michelle Garrone (Petaluma HS). Goalkeeper
Victoria Whyte (Austin Texas, Lake Travis HS) recorded five saves in the loss.
CSUMB falls to 3-8, 0-5 CCAA. Monterey Bay will take a break from the comforts of home field and travel down south for a match against UC San Diego on Friday, October 9 at 4:30 p.m.
GO OTTERS!
