SEASIDE, Calif. -- In the second to last home game of the 2015 season, the Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team looked to get away from its loosing ways agasint Cal Poly Pomona on Friday afternoon.
The Otters played tough in the first half, but a brilliant goal by Pomona late in the second half handed the hosts its fifth loss in a row. CSUMB managed a mere four shots to Pomona's 18.
Nick Stanley (Yucaipa HS) led the Otters with two shots.
The future of CSUMB goalkeeping was featured as Sophomore
Jakob Hansen (Corona, Calif. / Santiago HS) earned his first collegiate start between the pipes and saved six balls.
CSUMB is now 7-7, 4-6 CCAA. Sunday's game will be the finale home game of the 2015 season as Monterey bay welcomes Cal State San Bernardino on Senior Day. Kick off is set for 2 p.m.
