SEASIDE, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team started very quickly on Sunday afternoon's game against Cal State L.A., scoring just 1:40 in to the game. The Otters would score again in the second half to take a 2-1 lead and win.
Michelle Garrone (Petaluma, Calif./Petaluma HS) scored her first goal by being in the right spot at the right time to clean up a ball that trickled away from the scrum.
CSUMB went up two goals to none after Kristen Womack (Roseville, Calif./Woodcreek HS) scored her seventh goal of the season. CSULA would get one back, but it would not be enough as the Otters earned thier first weekend sweep of CCAA opponents this season.

The Otters move to 5-9-1, 2-6-1 CCAA. Monterey Bay will battle Cal Poly Pomona on Friday, October 23 at the Otter Sports Complex. Kick off is set for 12:30 p.m.
