BOX SCORE SEASIDE, Calif. – Despite finishing with a season-best 21 shots in conference action, the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team saw its 2013 season end with a 1-0 loss against Chico State at the Otter Sports Complex.
The CSUMB offense and defense came out of the gate on fire, getting 12 shots with six on frame in the first half while limiting Chico to only one shot.
In the 20th minute, junior
Shoshana Wangerin (Pleasant Hill/College Park HS) took a shot form 25 yards out that grazed the crossbar.

Jami Murray (Newbury/City College of San Francisco) led all Otters with five shots with four on target while senior
Natalie Argueta (Costa Mesa HS) and sophomore
Regan Porteous (Lodi/St. Mary's HS) contributed three shots apiece.
Chico's goal came in the 68th minute when Courtlynn Cerrito rebounded a punch out by Otter keeper
Kendra Gillio (San Jose/Valley Christian HS).
For the 15th time this season, CSUMB had the corner kick advantage over its opponents as the Otters tallied a 8-2 edge over the Wildcats.
