BOX SCORE SAN FRANCISCO – For the third straight match, the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision in CCAA action. The Otters fell to the Gators of San Francisco State on Friday afternoon at Cox Stadium.
 
The Otters record slides to 7-8-2 overall and 6-7-2 in conference play while the Gators improved to 7-6-4, 6-6-3 in CCAA.
 
SF State scored in the 87th in minute on a eight-yard shot by Alex Palomino.
 
CSUMB and SF State each had three corner kicks while the Gators had an 11-9 shot advantage.  Senior Chelsea Strange (Manhattan Beach/Costal Carolina) had a team-high four shots, three coming in the first half.
 
Junior keeper Lily Garza (Redwood City/City College of San Francisco) racked up four saves before exiting the game in the 81st minute due to injury. 
 
The Otters wrap up their season on Sunday, Nov. 3, hosting Chico State at 2 p.m.  Prior to the game, the squad will honor its five seniors: Kendra Gillio, Chelsea Strange, Natalie Argueta, Kelly Piol and Sherene Thompson.
